Château Mouton Rothschild 2001
Pauillac - Premier Grand Cru Rated
- Score : 94/100 Wine Spectator & 94/100 James Suckling
- Cellaring : Drink now, mature vintage.
- Tasting notes by James Suckling : "Very smoky, with berry, coffee and tobacco aromas. Full-bodied, with polished, velvety tannins, lots of fruit and a cedary aftertaste. Better than the 2000 Mouton. It's a baby Mouton 1986. Solid and very, very fine. Lasts a long time on the palate." - JS
- Art and the label: For the label of Mouton Rothschild 2001, Bob Wilson chose to feature his Filipino friend in a symphony of colours, where the green of the vine and the gold of the sun blend with the wine's chromatic range, from light red to deep purple.
