- Situated on the upper level of the Volnay appellation, the Clos des Angles enjoys a south-easterly exposure, ideal for early ripening.
- This terroir, characterised by brown limestone soils on slopes that are sometimes shallow, rests on a clay-limestone and clay-silt base.
- Surface area: 3.34 ha
- Altitude: 250-300 m
- Average age of vines: 40 years
- Growing method: Integrated pest management
- Harvest: 100% manual
Vinification
- The wine is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes. The grapes are carefully sorted to ensure that only the healthiest and ripest are kept, and are completely destemmed.
- Vatting: 18 days in open vats
- Maturation: 16 months, including 3 months in mass blending, 100% in barrels (30% new)
- Fining: No
- Filtration: Yes
- Alcohol content: 13
