What are the specificities of Château Ormes de Pez?
The history of Château of Bordeaux dates back to the 16th century, when it was still called Domaine de Pez. The name change of the estate took place after the French Revolution. Orme is a kind of tree that, at one point, was part of the estate's landscape, while Pez was the name of the village where the vines were established.
Château Les Ormes de Pez underwent a renovation of its winemaking facilities in 1993. Because of its renowned excellent quality, Ormes de Pez remains one of the most popular and expensive Bordeaux crus bourgeois.

On average, the vines are maintained at 30 years old. To produce the wine of Château Les Ormes de Pez, the wine is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The Ormes de Pez wine is aged on average 50% in new French oak barrels for nearly 15 months.
The wines can be enjoyed from 5 to 8 years in the bottle and last for a good 20 years. The wines are round, pleasant, aromatic and without tannic hardness.
