Order wines : Château Palmer 1998
Margaux - 3rd Grand Cru Rated
TASTING
- Service: Château Palmer is a wine that gains complexity with age, so it is recommended to let it age in the bottle before serving. Ideally, it should be stored in a wine cellar under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Before tasting, it's best to decant for at least an hour to allow the wine to open up and express all its aromas.
- Tasting : Château Palmer is renowned for its finesse, elegance and aromatic complexity. Here are just a few of the characteristics you'll notice when tasting:
- Appearance: The wine has a beautiful, intense ruby-red color, sometimes with violet highlights when young.
- Nose: On the nose, Château Palmer offers a complex, aromatic bouquet. You can expect aromas of black fruits such as cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant, as well as hints of violet, licorice, tobacco and subtle oak from the oak ageing process.
- Palate: On the palate, this wine is generally elegant and silky, with well-integrated tannins. It has a fine structure and remarkable length on the palate. Black fruit flavors often mingle with hints of spice, leather and tobacco.
When tasting Château Palmer, we recommend savoring it slowly, taking time to appreciate its different aromatic layers and complexity. Pair it with dishes such as refined red meats, game birds, mature cheeses and the delicacies of French cuisine."
