FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE CUVÉE :
- Grape variety: Chenin / dry whiteTasting notes : This beautiful wine opens with a clear, elegant, pure and fresh bouquet, wonderfully floral and intensely aromatic with ripe, elegant fruit and spicy schist aromas. On the palate, this is a beautifully fruity yet elegant and seriously structured Chenin whose fruit reminds me of elderflower, ginger, apple blossom and tonic water as well as iced tea, orange zest and crushed stone. The wine is very well balanced and round, with a tight, lasting finish and fairly fine tannins.Just a fine, accessible Savennières from young vines.
- Presentation : The best-known dry chenin cru in Anjou, on the right bank of the Loire.Plot planted in 2009, on talcose ochre schist alteration.Gently sloping, south-facing, in the commune of Savennières, with a view of the Loire. It deserves its name! Horse-drawn labour.
- Vinification and ageing Direct pressing, static settling overnight at cellar temperature, toasting in barrels at the start of fermentation (natural flotation using the co2 in the must), slow fermentation in barrels finishing in spring, spontaneous malolactic fermentation, ageing in barrels after racking and blending of the cuvée until bottling.
