Petrus 2014 in stock
Pomerol
Rated 95/100 by James Molesworth of Wine Spectator
This has lush, fleshy layers of blackberry, fig and black currant confiture rumbling through, pushed by notes of charcoal and warm tobacco leaf. Ganache hints fill in on the finish. Bass-driven, with a serious knot of tannins that have yet to stretch out, but the core of fruit is way too serious to doubt.
To be drunk for a special occasion.
It's best to keep it in the cellar for the time being.
Maturity of Petrus 2014: 2020 - 2035
Service
The ideal serving temperature is around 15°C. It will go very well with a fillet of beef with duck foie gras for example.
