Marlene 3 2012 - Domaine Peyre Rose
Vin de France
- Tasting: An excellent Vin de France: the Marlene 3 has a bouquet of exotic herbs, garrigue, beef stock, brine and sweet currant. Pure, it opens beautifully in the glass. It is a wine that carries you away.
- Cellaring: It is drinking well now and should continue to evolve nicely.
Why a change of appellation and name?
The famous winemaker, Marlène Soria, decided to remove the appellation "Côteaux du Languedoc" for several reasons. From now on, the wine is under the appellation "Vin de France". This is mainly due to the freer legislation from the vineyard to the winery. This is why the names of the vintages have also been adapted: the winemaker has effectively changed their names, "Le Clos des Cistes" becomes "Les Cistes". The "Syrah Léone" vat becomes "Belle Léone".
What does this change?
Don't worry! The quality of these great wines is still there. They still have their superb spicy, powerful and long-lasting character.
