Rivesaltes Château Villargeil - Treasures of Time
Discover a rare and precious collection of Rivesaltes from Château Villargeil, witness to ancestral know-how and exceptional ageing. These vins doux naturels were aged for several decades in casks directly on the estate, before being meticulously bottled in the early 2010s by Mr. Philippe Gayral, a specialist in the great Rivesaltes of yesteryear.
Prior to bottling, each vintage was tasted directly on the estate, still in barrel, to ensure perfect expression of its balance and complexity. Today, these wines are ready to be enjoyed, while offering remarkable ageing potential for lovers of great nectars with the patina of time.
Outstanding aging
During their long stay in barrel, these Rivesaltes have developed an exceptionally rich palette of aromas. Notes of candied fruit, walnuts, caramel, figs, sweet spices and cocoa combine with a deep, full-bodied palate of impressive length.
