Château Pichon Longueville Baron 2009
Pauillac - 2nd Grand Cru Rated
98/100 Parker
Cellaring: Now to 2045.
Incredible quality, the winemaker's best performance in a long time. 2009 seems to be the greatest Pichon Longueville Baron since 1990 and 1989. A stunning color - opaque blue/purple - followed by scents of spring flowers, graphite, smoky charcoal, incense, blackberries, blueberries, and very intense coffee and chocolate notes. Incredible, pure and perfectly constructed with extravagant layers of fruit. You can feel all its richness, it is voluptuous, opulent. This gem should be at its peak by 2018, but can develop further, until 2045.
Blend
Grape varieties: 3/4 Cabernet Sauvignon and 1/4 Merlot
