The "Les Mottelettes" vineyard is home to an old Chardonnay vine planted 60 years ago in the heart of the prestigious Grand Cru vineyard of Bouzy. Produced by a massal selection process, this cuvée reveals a bold and generous style, driven by aromas of citrus and white fruits.
Aged in barrels, the Mottelettes were corked for secondary fermentation, then aged on lees for four and a half years before disgorging.
Dosage: 3 g/l.
"Chardonnay can also flourish at Bouzy, producing wines with great personality, although it generally prefers vintages with more moderate temperatures. Old vines, like those planted in 1961 at Les Mottelettes, produce wines that are both full-bodied and lively, expressing a completely different side to the Chardonnays of the Côte des Blancs." — Peter Liem
