Château Prieuré Lichine is a wine estate located in the Bordeaux region of France. It is classified as a Grand Cru Classé of the Margaux appellation, which is one of the most prestigious appellations of Bordeaux. It mainly produces red wines from traditional Bordeaux grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine is aged in oak barrels for a variable period of time depending on the vintage, in order to develop its structure, complexity and aromas.
SERVICE
- Regarding the service of Château Prieuré Lichine wine, it is recommended to decant it before serving it. Decanting aerates the wine and allows it to fully express itself.
- You can do this by carefully pouring the wine into a decanter, being careful not to stir up any deposits that have formed at the bottom of the bottle. Allow the wine to aerate for about an hour before tasting it.
- It is recommended to serve Château Prieuré Lichine at a temperature of around 16 to 18 degrees Celsius to allow the wine to express itself fully. It can be accompanied by dishes such as grilled red meats, roasts, dishes based on game or aged cheeses.
TASTING
When tasting Château Prieuré Lichine, you can expect complex aromas of ripe red fruit, cassis, black cherry, spice and woody notes from the aging in oak barrels. On the palate, the wine is generally structured, with supple tannins and a good length on the finish. Depending on the vintage, you can find variations in the character of the wine, with some vintages being more concentrated and full-bodied than others.
