Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent 2020 - William Fevre

95/100 Parker

When to drink this wine? To be drunk from 2028 to 2050

Tasted by William Kelley in 2022: "One of the finest wines in the portfolio this year is the 2020 Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent, a taut, youthful, reserved bottling of immense promise. It unfolds in the glass with aromas of citrus zest, beeswax, crisp white peach, white flowers, freshly baked bread and oyster shell, it's full and seamless, with tremendous intensity of tension in a tight format. It comes warmly recommended, but will require patience."

THE VINEYARD : In the exact extension of the côte des Grands Crus, this climate is separated from it by a simple path. At the very contact of the Grand Cru les Preuses, its filiaMon with its illustrious neighbours gives powerful and mineral wines.

I love this site. Whether it's for old wines, or recent ones. The choice of partner estates is impressive, and allocations are sold at fair prices. Ludovic's advice is always excellent.
