Chablis Grand Cru Les Bouguerots 2018 - Domaine Laroche
92/100 Parker
Cellaring : 2021 - 2038
By William Kelley on August 5, 2021: "The 2018 Chablis Grand Cru Les Bouguerots is rich and textured, unfolding in the glass with aromas of orchard fruit, marzipan, vanilla bean and peach. Satiny and layered, it is enveloping complete, concluding with a long, vibrant finish."
- The most western of the Chablis Grands Crus. Produced in confidential quantities, it expresses power and fruity charm.
- Terroir : This vineyard benefits from an excellent southern and western exposure on the banks of the Serein river, on a slope rich in limestone. At the bottom of the hillside, a 30 cm layer of clay allows to retain water in summer, which is crucial for the balance of the grapes. The vineyard was planted with a massal selection from the historical plants of the domain. These vines deliver a great aromatic diversity. The Grand Cru Les Bouguerots shows a beautiful aspect after 3 to 5 years in bottle. Its full maturity is reached after 5 to 8 years.
