Chambolle Musigny 2014 - Bouchard Père et Fils
Dependent on the Cistercian abbey of Gilly until 1500, the village of Chambolle gradually gained its independence. It will take the name of Chambolle-Musigny in 1882. The soils and subsoils are of an ideal composition for the production of wines of remarkable finesse and elegance, which earned them the nickname of "Volnay de la Côte de Nuits". The soil is generally very thin, with rock often outcropping. The vine will draw up to 10 meters deep thanks to faults, especially on the terroir of Musigny.
TASTING NOTE: Expressive bouquet of red berries with a very light woody note. Tender and delicate wine, with a fine structure without excessive robustness. Good ageing potential.
