Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru 2015 “Les Poulettes” - Bouchard Père & Fils is an exceptional cuvée from an extremely fine terroir in the south of the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation. This 100% Pinot Noir Premier Cru expresses all the richness and elegance of great Burgundy wines. On opening, the nose reveals deep aromas of black fruit, morello cherry and blackberry, supported by subtle notes of spice and undergrowth. On the palate, the structure is racy, with beautiful tannic intensity, balanced by a silky texture and a persistent finish with lightly woody and mineral nuances.
To fully appreciate this 2015 vintage, we recommend serving it between 15 and 16°C after aeration for at least an hour. This Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru is the perfect accompaniment to mature beef, duck breast or mature cheeses such as Époisses. Although Bouchard Père & Fils is renowned for its commitment to sustainable viticulture, this wine is not certified organic. This is a bottle made for laying down, which will reveal all its complexity over the years.
