Great House of Burgundy
(89 - 91)/100 Parker
- Early custody: 2020 - 2032
- Tasting: The 2016 Pommard 1er Cru Clos de la Commaraine presents a pretty bouquet with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, wild mint and a touch of orange zest. The palate is quite full-bodied with supple, very concentrated and poised tannins on the attack, fairly linear and refusing to blossom on the finish. However, I admire the tension here and the hint of black pepper on the finish that keeps the tongue in suspense.
- Grape: Pinot Noir
