Rully 1er Cru Grésigny 2018 - Domaine de Villaine
DESCRIPTION
They started the Rully 1er Cru Grésigny from 2011. Situated in the South-West of the Rully appellation area, this parcel supports vines that are more than 80 years old, benefiting from a very good rooting which allows us to reveal all the nuances of this riotin climate that is Grésigny. "Grésigny" which in Burgundian patois means "little fast hill". No wine in 2011 due to hail. The first vintage from this vineyard is 2012.
TASTING
Vinified and matured in barrels of one to three wines and half a new vintage for 18 months. The nose is pure. One perceives the richness of the Chardonnay vines which are 80 years old on average. The wine is ripe and still in a woody expression. The palate is full of finesse, elegance, depth and harmony. This wine now displays a very nice balance between notes of white flowers and aromas of pears and white peaches which make it very greedy. A mineral and saline freshness perfectly enhances the finish. To be enjoyed now or to be drunk within eight or ten years.
