By William Kelley in 2021: "Complex aromas of sweet berries, smoke, dark chocolate, plums and spice introduce the 2018 Rully 1er Cru Les Champs Cloux, a bright, lively, medium-bodied wine built around acidic acids and chalky tannins. This nicely balanced example of the vintage should reward bottle age."
TASTING : Slightly reserved on the nose, this wine gradually reveals itself with aromas of black and red fruits such as blackcurrant, redcurrant or raspberry and spring flowers such as cherry or lilac. On the palate, it is structured, offering beautiful intense volumes, with a lamb's lettuce reminiscent of the fruity nose. The tannins remain discreet. It is a wine with an almost rustic expression in its youth, but which with age will reach a finesse and aromatic density that lets us hope for a lot of pleasure.
