Volnay 1er Cru Cailleret 2016 - Nicolas Rossignol
Geographical location: Situated just below Les Taillepieds (separated by the departmental road). It owes its name to the small pebbles present in abundance on the ground.
The soil and the environment : The soil here is clay-limestone on a hard Jurassic limestone. The soil is light brown, fairly light with many small stones. The soil has a fairly steep slope, always facing south-east.
The vine: A blend of a vine in its thirties and a vine in its sixties.
The wine: The wine is very elegant, fine and delicate, almost airy. Floral and mineral notes, with great finesse on the attack, with silky and fine tannins. Beautiful aromatic persistence of a wine that gains length and complexity on the finish. It is called "la Dentelle de Volnay".
