Vosne Romanée 1er Cru 2012 - Les Petits Monts - Maison Louis Latour
Louis Latour wines from the estate
Tasting notes : This wine has a ruby color with a nose of black fruits accompanied by notes of licorice and coffee. A beautiful suppleness of tannins in mouth, powerful and well structured wine.
Description : Vosne-Romanée, famous all over the world for its Grands Crus, also produces very good 1er Crus capable of competing with the greatest. The iron-based composition of the soils just north of Nuits-Saint-Georges is ideal for growing Pinot Noir. The grapes reach their maximum maturity and it is through traditional winemaking methods that the wines are wonderfully aromatic and the fruit notes are released. The wine requires bottle aging to reach its full expression. The parcel "Les Petits Monts" is located at the top of the hillside which explains its name.
