Château Rauzan Ségla 1981
Margaux - 2nd Grand Cru Rated
91/100 Parker
Tasted in 2003: “Having reached maturity, this wine has always been one of the best of the vintage. Astonishing aromas soar from the glass, offering notes of acacia flower intermixed with blackcurrant, smoke, tobacco and incense. A luscious texture in a beautifully concentrated but very pure style, quite full-bodied, presents layers of flavors as well as a homogeneity that is endearing, even irresistible. This is a wine of great beauty, and the first vintage to signal Rauzan-Segla's return to the ranks of quality Bordeaux châteaux.”
