The wines of Riveyrac come from one of the oldest Cooperative Wineries in the Eastern Pyrenees. It was founded in January 1909 in response to one of the worst viticultural crises in the region, to unite in the face of this problem. Between the two wars, the winery specialised in the Grands Vins Doux Naturels d'AOC Rivesaltes. They are raised for about ten years in wood and/or outside in glass demijohn before being sold to the neighboring merchants of Rivesaltes. Around the 1960s the winery specialized in long maturing (up to several decades). A few wines and vintages of superior quality were then kept individually to be bottled much later...
