Rully 1er Cru Cloux Red 2019 - Domaine de Villaine
DESCRIPTION
Our Rully 1er Cru red "Cloux", located under our two other 1er crus "Raclot" and "Rabourcé", is cultivated on a steep slope whose inclination (East and South-East) makes it one of the most beautiful climates of the Rully Appellation. Intensely fruity and "airy" in its youth, it will soften with time and offer more subtle and complex aromatic notes worthy of a great Burgundy. Young, this wine can be served at around 16°, older around 18° with game birds, red meat and cheeses such as Reblochon or Cantal.
TASTING
Another one of our new wines of which we are happy and surprised by the quality. The nose, slightly shy, is elegant and fine, it offers aromas of red fruits such as raspberry or redcurrant. Its mouth is of a rare delicacy, and the memory of the full and delicate juice of pinot noir is felt thanks to silky tannins making this wine very elegant and velvety. Shy in the expression of its fruit, but of great aromatic finesse, it already expresses a great complexity that will develop with age.
