Château Haut Faugères 1990 in Magnum
Saint-émilion - Grand Cru
Château Haut-Faugères is a wine estate located in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation in the Bordeaux region. It is owned by the Silvio Denz family, who also own Château Faugères.
Château Haut-Faugères is often confused with a second wine, but this is not exactly the case. This estate produces its own distinct wine under the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, from specific parcels. Although Château Haut-Faugères and Château Faugères share the same property, Haut-Faugères is not formally the second wine of Château Faugères. The real second wine of Château Faugères is called “Le Page de Faugères”.
Château Haut-Faugères produces a wine with its own identity, while reflecting the same care and viticultural techniques applied to Château Faugères. Its style is a little more accessible than the grand vin of Château Faugères, but it remains a serious cru in the hierarchy of Saint-Émilion wines.
