Tasted by Lisa Perrotti-Brown in 2021: Deep purple-black in colour, La Bienfaisance 2020 needs a little aeration and coaxing before leaping from the glass with vibrant notes of crushed black cherries, blackberry pie and warm blueberries, as well as hints of black olives, underbrush and ploughed earth with a touch of liquorice. The medium to full-bodied palate offers impressive energy, with a lively backbone and ripe, fine-grained tannins supporting the bright black fruits, and finishes long and elegant. The finish is long and spicy.’
