Saint Péray 2019 Ongrie - Alain Voge
- Former Cuvée Terres Boisées: Renamed Ongrie with the 2015 vintage, this cuvée created in 1984 was first called Cuvée Boisée and then Terres Boisées, in reference to the vinification and ageing in barrels on lees which Alain Voge pioneered in Saint-Péray some thirty years ago. At that time, most of Saint-Péray's production was made using the traditional method and the wines were vinified in vats.
- Cultivation: The entire estate is farmed organically and biodynamically.
- Grape variety : 100 % MARSANNE
- Density: The plot of the estate: 1.5 ha / The appellation: 110 ha.
- Vinification with indigenous yeasts, exclusively in oak barrels of 228 and 400 litres, with 30% new wood.
- Aged on fine lees for 13 months.
- Reduced sulphiting - total SO2 53 mg/l (allowed in organic: 150 mg/l)
- Production: 5132 bottles / 120 half bottles
- Ageing potential: 5 to 7 years
- Terroir : The vines are about 50 years old and are planted on very old alluvial deposits from the Rhône enriched with granitic colluvium. The presence of limestone and clay in the soil explains the minerality and the particular freshness of this wine.
