Presentation : Here is the first vintage of this great wine of Châteauneuf du Pape! How was this cuvée born? It is the blend of the former prestigious cuvées, well known: the Charles Giraud cuvée, and Auguste Favier.
Grape varieties: Here is a blend of 75% Grenache, and completed with Cinsault, Mourvèdre and a touch of Syrah.

Tasting note by Joe Czerwinski on May 5, 2022: "Isabel Ferrando informed me during my visit that she planned to eliminate the Auguste Favier Reserve and Charles Giraud Collection bottlings, combining these lots and the "traditional" Chateauneuf de Saint-Prefert into one combined wine under the Isabel Ferrando Family label. The blend she presented as the Famille Isabel Ferrando 2020 Châteauneuf du Pape is a beautiful wine, with layers of spice, notes of cola and hints of garrigue. There are notes of cherry and raspberry on the finish. Almost creamy in texture, it finishes long, silky and mouthwatering. This estate is being restructured as Isabel Ferrando plans to unify it with her Isabel Ferrando label under the Isabel Ferrando Family. In addition, Ms. Ferrando informed me that she plans to eliminate the bottles of the Auguste Favier Reserve and the Charles Giraud Collection, combining these lots and the "traditional" Chateauneuf de Saint-Prefert into one combined wine. The resulting red range would then include this "new" Châteauneuf du Pape, as well as the Colombis and F601 bottles. Almost everything she has done so far in her management of this estate has proven to be gold, so consumers should look forward to the new range."
