The team presents a selection of great wines ready to drink in 2023! We reveal the best recommendations on the wines that will reach their apogee* this year (*optimal tasting moment).
A wine reaches its peak when it offers the best experience on the palate. A wine's peak is usually indicated by a range of years, marked by the words "best enjoyed from" and "best consumed before". Many quality wines seem attractive when young, then go through a period of closure before reaching their full potential.
Comptoir des Millésimes offers you the best deals on the market, so don't hesitate to reserve your vintages as soon as possible to make sure they are available. Some allocations go quickly.
Comptoir des Millésimes, a pioneer among online wine merchants, shares its vintage recommendations based on the different wine-growing regions. Explore the selections of white, red and sweet wines that will reach their peak this year.
Over the past decade, 2018, 2019 and 2020 have been recognised as particularly exceptional, although some may still need a few more years of maturation to reach their peak.
On the Bordeaux side, the 2017 vintage is currently showing itself to be young and fresh, while the initially underrated 2014 vintage is finally revealing all its greatness. The 2011 Pomerols are ready to be enjoyed, but you'll have to wait a little longer before opening the best 2010 and 2001 vintages. Finally, the red and white Burgundies of 2017 and 2014 are already characterised by their purity, juiciness and accessibility.
However, it is essential to stress that the relevance of the vintage also depends on the type of wine. Most rosés should be drunk soon after bottling. On the other hand, tannic reds, sweet wines and straw wines need several years' ageing before revealing their full potential. You'll need to identify which cuvées have been matured, and which châteaux or wine estates have been successful. We can advise you directly on this specific information.
Please note that this is a global feature. You will need to find out about the cuvée, the vintage, the ageing and the ageing potential recommended by the estate. Please do not hesitate to contact us via the contact form.
