Tasted by Neal Martin in 2013: "The Sigalas Rabaud was sensational out of barrel and served blind, the wine does nothing to dispel my initial optimism that this is the peak of the estate - so far. It has an intense bouquet of quince, orange zest and almond with a lighter touch of honey than its peers. The palate is quite full-bodied with great viscosity. This is an assertive Sauternes that wants to make an impression, although it lacks the complexity or breeding of Yquem and Suduiraut. It is nonetheless very poised and perhaps has something in reserve for later, biding its time as it were. This is a wonderful wine. Drink now or until 2040.
