Château Smith-Haut-Lafitte 2009
Grand cru classé de Graves - Pessac-Leognan - Bordeaux
Rated 100/100 Robert Parker
"The best wine ever produced by owners Daniel and Florence Cathiard. This legendary great wine has an opaque blue/purple color. On the nose, superb notes of acacia flowers, licorice, charcoal, blueberries, black raspberries, lead pencil shavings, and incense. A big, massive, extraordinarily rich, unctuously textured wine is perhaps the most concentrated effort to date. A magnificent expression of Pessac-Léognan with sweet tannins, emerging charm and delicacy, and imposing power, depth, and richness. Unbelievable!"
It can be drunk now or kept for at least the next three decades.
