Founded in 1734 by Jacques Fourneaux, this famous house prospered under the name Forest-Fourneaux until 1936, when Pierre Taittinger became the main shareholder and gave it his name. After the Great War, the company had set up its headquarters in a historic monument in Reims, the Hôtel des Comtes de Champagne (13th century). It was in homage to this dynasty that the prestigious cuvée of Taittinger was named, a vintage blanc de blancs made from grands crus of the Côte des Blancs. This cuvée offers an intense and complex olfactory palette of flowers and white fruits, minerality and empyreumatic aromas. The palate is balanced, elegant and long, in harmony with the nose. We then find the Brut Réserve which marries pinot noir and chardonnay. It is mentioned for its fruity freshness. The Prestige Rosé is a blend also dominated by pinot noir (70%, part of which is vinified in red), it is appreciated for its salmon colour, its balance and its roasting aromas.
