The Clos Sainte Hune is an exceptional clay-limestone or Muschelkalk terroir of 1.67 hectares, exclusively planted with Riesling, located in the heart of the Grand Cru Rosacker, in Hunawihr.
The limestone soil allows this Riesling to develop a specific aroma and a wonderful concentration of fruit. Dry but succulent, with a phenomenal complexity, this wine develops an extraordinary mineral aftertaste after a few years in the bottle.
The parcel is about 50 to 70 years old, with a south-southeast exposure and low yields.
Annual production reaches about 9000 bottles, depending on the vintage. This makes the wine so unique that Clos Sainte Hune is sought after by many collectors around the world.
