Château Trotanoy 2005
Pomerol
98+/100 Parker
When to drink this wine : 2020 - 2040
Tasted in 2015: "This superb 2005 exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as aromas and flavors of sweet black cherries, cassis, earth, and white chocolate. This powerful, mineral-dominated wine (90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc) is extremely late-ripening, super-concentrated, and more like Merlot blood than any other Pomerol. Dense purple, super-rich, and stunning, this wine is at least 20-30 years old. An absolutely spectacular effort from this great terroir, it can be drunk now, but patience will be rewarded."
