Château Trotanoy 2006
Pomerol
93/100 Parker
When to drink this wine : 2013 - 2033
Tasted in 2009: "The 2006 Trotanoy is showing better than it did in barrel, but it has one consistent characteristic that seems to be pervasive, regardless of the style and personality of the vintage: an earthy, muscular, backbone-driven style. This wine is deep, rich and powerful, with loads of fleshy black cherry fruit intermixed with crushed rocks, truffle and a hint of autumnal vegetation. This wine is broad, deep and designed for serious connoisseurs who have a cellar to wait for it. This wine needs 4-5 years of cellaring and should keep for at least two decades. This is an impressive Trotanoy, but not for those who cannot defer satisfaction."
