Château Trotanoy 2012
Pomerol
96/100
“The 2012 Trotanoy is clearly blossoming in bottle. In nearly twenty years of barrel tastings, rarely has a Trotanoy so surpassed its primeur level. The bouquet, discreet and well-defined at first, gradually unveils itself in the glass to reveal subtle notes of red fruit, truffle and ferruginous nuances.
On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, carried by very fine tannins. There's a remarkable core of Cabernet Franc, supported by perfectly controlled acidity and a precise, persistent finish.”
Tasted in January 2016.
