Diamond Creek Volcanic Hill is a single-varietal red wine : Cabernet Sauvignon, one of Napa Valley's best-known and most appreciated grape varieties. The name "Volcanic Hill" refers to the geological nature of the terroir where the vines are grown. The soil of this vineyard is rich in volcanic rock, which adds distinctive characteristics to the wine.

• Diamond Creek Volcanic Hill is generally described as a powerful, concentrated and complex wine, typical of great Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Here are some tasting notes:
• The color is a deep, intense red. On the nose, aromas of ripe black fruits such as black cherry and blackberry, along with hints of blackcurrant and licorice. Hints of vanilla, spices and tobacco may also be present, thanks to aging in oak barrels. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and structured, with elegant but well-presented tannins. It offers complexity, with flavors of black fruit, cedar, graphite and sometimes mineral notes, which can be attributed to the volcanic terroir. The finish is often long and persistent.
