Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir 2022 opens with magnificent aromas of sweet citrus, vine flowers and spices. Medium to full-bodied, with a satiny texture and great elegance.Layered in structure, it reveals pure fruit and offers a long, precise finish. Its harmonious, subtly aromatic style makes it one of the year's great wines.
The 2022 vintage marks the penultimate stage in the organic conversion of the 78-hectare Domaine William Fèvre, although the estate has been practicing this approach for sixteen years now. This wine is a superb success, combining tension and precision, qualities that are not always guaranteed in this Chablis vintage.
Beyond the quality of the wines, the major news about this estate - managed with wisdom and skill by Didier Séguier since 1999 - is its acquisition by Domaines des Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). There's no doubt that William Fèvre couldn't have hoped for a better guarantor to ensure his future.
