In 2021, one hectare of Grand Cru Wineck-Schlossberg, located in Katzenthal, was added to the portfolio of grand terroirs. These old vines, brought to the estate by winemaker Jérôme Noll, who is responsible for the vineyard, occupy slopes with varied exposures, ranging from southeast to south, with some very steep slopes. The soil, composed of biotite granite with two micas, is similar to that of Brand and Sommerberg. Although Wineck-Schlossberg does not lie at the bottom of a deep valley like Brand, its microclimate can be more extreme, alternating between cold and hot periods. However
